Hosts and student organisersThe 2026/27 committee welcomed students, introduced the society's purpose and programme, and created space for new members to meet one another before the first industry and education sessions of the year.

The year began with conversation.
SOAS EIFS opened its 2026/27 programme with an informal room for introductions, quizzes, prizes and conversation. Students met the committee, heard what the society planned to build and connected with others interested in Islamic and ethical finance.
